SIMMET congratulates team members for outstanding accomplishments

The SIMMET Group extends heartfelt congratulations to our esteemed postdoctoral researchers, Dr. Emmanuel Oke and Dr. Joseph Nyembwe, on their recent accomplishments.

Dr. Oke, in collaboration with Prof. Potgieter, has co-authored a paper titled “Discarded E-Waste/Printed Circuit Boards: A Review of their Recent Methods of Disassembly, Sorting and Environmental Implications,” which has been successfully published in the Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management. Furthermore, Dr. Joseph Nyembwe has contributed as a co-author alongside other esteemed members of our group, including Prof. Simonsen, Prof. Potgieter, and Arthur Chuma (our alumni). Their collaborative paper, “Can preconcentration of cassiterite from its pegmatite ore reduce processing cost and improve operational sustainability?”, has recently been accepted for publication in the Journal of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

We commend their dedication and hard work and extend our best wishes for continued success in their endeavours.
